- USE OF PHIT WEBSITE
www.phit.ub.edu gives access to various information, services, programmes or data (“contents”) made available on the internet and belonging to PHIT or its licensors, and to which the USER can have access to. The USER is responsible for the use of the website. Said responsibility covers the register that may be necessary in order to access specific services or contents. In said register, the USER will be responsible for providing truthful and lawful information. As a consequence of this register, it is possible to provide the USER with a password of which he will be responsible, while committing to make a diligent and confidential use of it. The USER commits itself to make an adequate use of the contents and services provided by PHIT through its portal (for instance: chat services, discussion forums, newsgroups) by not using to (including but not limited to): (i) incur any unlawful, illegal, contrary to good faith or contrary to public order activities; (ii) diffuse any content or propaganda that would be racist, xenophobic, pornographic, promoting terrorism or threatening human rights; (iii) cause damages to the physical and logical systems of PHIT, its providers or third persons, introduce or spread viruses in the network or any other physical or logical system that might cause the damages previously mentioned; (iv) try to access or use email accounts of other users and modify or manipulate their messages. PHIT reserves the right to suppress all the comments and contributions that would infringe upon the respect for the human dignity of individuals, whether they are discriminatory, xenophobic, racist, pornographic, infringing upon youth or childhood, public order or security or according to PHIT’s assessment, are not suitable for publication. In any case, PHIT will not be held responsible of the opinions expressed by USERS through its forums, chats or other tools of participation that might be developed.
- DATA PROTECTION
PHIT complies with the dispositions of the Organic Law 15/1999 of 13 December on the Protection of Personal Data, of the Royal Decree 1720/2007 of 21 December approving the Development Regulation of the Organic Law and other regulations currently in force, and ensures the proper use and secure processing of USER’s personal data. Likewise, PHIT informs that it complies with the Law 34/2002 of 11 July on Information Society and Electronic Commerce Services and will always require the USER’s consent for the treatment of his email address for commercial purposes.
On PHIT website there are various forms through which the USER’s personal data can be collected. Next to each of these forms, the USER will be informed of the existence and acceptance of the particular conditions of treatment of his personal data, he will be informed of who is responsible of the file created, the address of the responsible, the possibility to exercise his right to access, rectify, cancel and oppose, the purpose of data collection and, if applicable, when the data is transmitted to third persons.
In any case, the platform will only process personal data that is considered adequate, relevant and not excessive to achieve the previously determined, explicit and legitimate purpose for which it was obtained. It also guarantees the security of the USERS’ personal data by applying the corresponding technical and organizational security measures.

PHIT is the owner of all the intellectual and industrial ownership rights of its website, along with the elements contained in it (including images, sounds, audios, videos, software or texts, brands or logos, color combinations, structure and design, selection of materials, computer programs needed to operate, access and use them, etc.) owned by PHIT or its licensors.

As stated in articles 8 and 32.1, second paragraph of the Intellectual Ownership Law, it is expressly forbidden to reproduce, distribute, publicly disseminate, or make available all or part of the contents of this website, for commercial purposes, in any format and by any technical means without the authorization of PHIT.
The USER commits itself to respect the Intellectual and Industrial Ownership rights of PHIT. He will be able to visualize the elements of the portal, and even to impress them, copy them or storage them in the hard drive of his computer or in any other physical support always and solely authorized as long as it is made exclusively for personal and private use. The USER must not suppress, alter, avoid or manipulate any protection or security system that is installed on PHIT website.
PHIT reserves the right to make any modifications that are considered necessary on its portal without prior notice, to change, suppress or add contents and/or services that are provided through its website, as well as the format in which they appear or where they are localized on its portal.
When links or hyperlinks to other websites are included in a webpage content, PHIT will not exert any kind of control over those websites and their contents.
